You are not alone in your struggle with pornography. Millions of people around the world, from all walks of life, struggle with pornography. There is no specific type of personality that isn't susceptible to porn addiction. It can happen to anyone. I feel it's so important for anyone reading this to know they're not alone in this struggle.
I'm a 55 year old male and I was addicted to porn from the age of 12 years old up into my 40's until my addiction finally got to a point where it ruined my life. I've created this website in hopes that it'll help you understand the seriousness of porn addiction and hopefully help you do something about it too before it ruins your life too. I've been to porn addiction help groups with 20 well-to-do people, from married fathers to church workers sitting around in a circle admitting to their problems with porn and how it was affecting their lives and their families. It was a real eye-opener to me to see that a lot of other everyday people were struggling with the same thing that I was struggling with. It helped me realize I wasn't alone in this, which made it easier to acknowledge my own struggles with this.
I'll never forget when one guy in the circle said "I'm married to a beautiful woman and have two amazing kids who I love more than anything and who I would die for. I have a successful job and we live in a beautiful house, but here I sit in front of all of you because I can't shake this porn problem. He said it in a way that even he was in disbelief. But the important thing was that he acknowledged his struggle, and that he was there trying to do something about it.
Another guy in the circle said he held an important calling in his church and was also happily married and, as much as he loved his wife and family and loved serving his calling in this church, he was very ashamed of his struggles with porn.

Growing up in a religious family, this is what I was taught at church about pornography. I was taught to avoid pornography like you would avoid the plague. I later realized how true this was once I realized I couldn't stay away from pornography and how it was working itself into my life.
